Well you can't just burn the videos onto the disc and expect them to play on your dvd player, unless that player can playback mpeg files and avi files which i'm assuming is the format most of your videos are in.
In order to create a dvd that you can watch on your home dvd player, you need to use
nero vision. You might not have this option if your nero says essentials since this is the oem version that came with either a burner or computer.
If you do have nero vision, make sure on the 'What Would You Like To Do?' screen, it list DVD and as option. If not either you don't have a dvd burner or it's not reading it.
After that it's really simple, click add video files until you fill the disc up, and create a menu if you wish, preview the video and click burn to dvd.
