Not quite sure why it doesn't just pick for you but it worked great. | Yep top tip this, if the DVDfab cloner fails then mix DVDfab with ImgBurn. Incidentally neither 4.1.2.0 or 5.0.1.2 Beta will Clone my Star Trek Original Series discs. Each creates an ISO but is unable to enter a value for the layer break in the INI file. In each case it sets it to Zero. However strip the files and create your ISO and (in my case) Burn it with ImgBurn and you'll be in business. Looks like this may be my default way for Dual Layer backups for the time being at least.
It seems to be quite difficult to maintain consistency and reliability with this dual layer business - you get a system that works fine then for no apparent reason the system breaks and you have to move along to another process.
