Exactly!
The machine I use to copy DVDs is also my PVR. I don't have a keyboard or mouse hooked up to it. When I copy DVDs, I have to use VNC from another computer (or plug in a keyboard and mouse) to access the GUI. It also interferes with watching TV, since I have to pull up the GUI. I would rather it just detect DVD and DVD-R insertions and do the copying automatically without having to do anything in the GUI (once it's initially set up) .
I have Windows Media Player set up similarly for CDs. When I insert a CD into the machine, it automatically rips it, adds it to my library, and ejects it. I don't have to do anything but feed it CDs. That made it really easy to digitize my 400+ CD collection.
