| Re: ImgBurn 2.4.1.0 "Verify" error - discs dodged? Hello again.
While i appreciate the best of the best trying to help me, as long as they do what my little sister can ("its your drive") i have rights to not believe what i get to hear.
So, now it's the overclocking? Here some examples:
Machine is overclocked since A YEAR. Problem is present since DAYS. (and i'm running the rig at only 2.000 now, if there was a way to edit the post in "PC specs" i'd amend that).
Drive: Works fine with 2.3.2.0. Does NOT with 2.4.1.0 but later, BACK on 2.3.2.0, works fine again.
Cables: See "drive".
@LUK
At first it all seemed well, after i reinstalled that version - both discs were fine. However AFTER posting the logs i noticed that the second burn again started messing up - i.e. after burning, the "supported speeds" stopped at 8x, which is weird. I have no more blank discs now and no material to burn either, otherwise i would make the test you suggested (i.e. burn the same compilation once with the setting enabled and once with it disabled).
I have reinstalled the old version again but i doubt i'll be burning again under Windows - end of the month i get my salary and by then also Ubuntu 8.04 is released and that will be the end of Windows for me and i probably won't use Wine - it doesn't support the only game i play so what for? There's a ton of burning apps for Linux and one will do the job just like ImgBurn (will there be a Linux version some day??)
Regards.....
Thanh
