I thought it might be something with the drive - hence my topic. HOWEVER if it's the drive (or cable for that matter), how come with the older ImgBurn version everything is fine??

No, it was not the exact same project - as mentioned, i burned about 20 discs alltogether with the 2.4.1.0 version and ALL of them had the same error symptoms, i.e. verifying failed right at the beginning and the burner can't read them, however other drives CAN read them just fine.

And ALL discs burned with the older version (same discs, same spindle even) and of course same burner, before and after the new version, have NO error and read fine in the burner too.

My conclusion: ImgBurn 2.4.1.0 isn't for me, respectively my computer. 2.3.2.0 is good
