The only thing changed on my system is - i re-installed ImgBurn 2.3.2.0 and burned a DVD just to test.
Burned fine, verified fine, burner reads it fine. Please see log for reference:

Oh, and i tested the "dodgy" DVD's created by the 2.4.1.0 version - they also read fine in my boyfriend's laptop (combo drive), so i guess they are safe - only my burner still refuses to read those, which is weird.
So there must be a bug in ImgBurn 2.4.1.0 which prevents it to function correctly under Vista 32bit with my particular burner.
I'll stick to this old version now, it asked me during install if i want it to check for updates periodically and i told it "no, thanks".
