Hello
I am burning a number of data-DVD's, and ever since i updated ImgBurn to the latest version i am getting "I/O Error!" when the verifying process starts, the disc subsequently appears empty to the burner but reads just fine in the (separate) DVD reader drive.
Specs:
CPU: AMD Sempron 2800++ OC'ed to 2.000 MHz (stock 1,600 MHz)
RAM: 2 GB Kingston DDR 400 (2x 1 GB)
OS: Vista Ultimate 32bit
ImgBurn version 2.4.1.0
Writer: Lite-On LH20A1, FW KL0N, IDE slave channel 2 (DMA enabled)
Media: Verbatim DVD+R 16x (MCC-004-00)
Burn speed: 8x
For the error, please see attached screenshot picture. I never had this happen with the older ImgBurn version 2.3.something and i am very tempted to go back to that version.
Is this, as i suspect, some sort of bug in this ImgBurn version or is my burner on the way out? As mentioned, the DVD's work fine in another drive.
Also, ever since i installed this ImgBurn version, both (!) my DVD drives will not open the first time i press the button, they appear locked (even after just booting the computer). I have to wait for the light to go off and then press the button again for them to open. Maybe related?
Can someone advice me what to do? Go back to the old version? Wait for newer?
Best regards.....
