The Samsung only has bitsetting on and off for all +R/W media, so DVD+R, DVD+RW and DVD+R DL will all be bitset to DVD-ROM when set to DVD-ROM.
But even with DVD-ROM as default, you can still turn bitsetting off if you don't want a +RW to be changed.
Also remember that a +RW will only be changed to a DVD-ROM if you format the disc, not with quick erase.
