Yep, blu is gonna be the only way to go for a HD burner. I'm probably going to get one when my tax refund shows up. So far the LG multi burner sounds like the best bet as it can read HD-DVD, burn Blu, and burn the normal cdr/dvdr type stuff. So if needed you can convert your hd collection to bd and backup data and burn regular dvd's and things.
My closest Best Buy juts sent back ALL of their hd-dvd movies, some of them kept them and are blowing them out at 9 bucks each, but pretty sure most just said lets bury hd and sent them back, now they have 2 small areas full of BD movies for 30 each, with a few on sale for 20 to 24.
