I was sort of kidding about DVDs. Most people who replaced their tape libraries with DVDs are not eager to replace them again so soon (less than a decade). As for new tech, I avoided DVDs until 2005 because I kept waiting (since 1998) for the superior FMDs to come out, but they fizzled and disappeared—a shame since they would have been superior to even BluRay. They were later picked up by another company for further development, so I’ll hold off on BluRays for now.

Thanks. Actually, it seems to be a little harder than I thought. The command I tried plays title two of the same VTS (#1), not the second VTS. However I just made a mini copy with Clone and examined the jump commands, then copied the method and it works; pretty much what you described.

I found a couple of webpages that describe DVD structures and I think that once you learn the jargon it becomes a lot less daunting. Fortunately I’ve already got most of the standard DVD tools (Shrink, Decrypter, IFO/PGCEdit, FixVTS, VobBlanker/Sub, etc.) so I can start playing around—uh, I mean learning—right away.
