Maybe it's just me but I find PIP both annoying and distracting. When I buy or rent a movie I don't want another picture or someone talking about the movie. I can go to disc features at the end if I want to see that crap. HD-DVD has that ability now and I dont use it. Every new BD movie to date has played fine in my profile 1 player. Why would I rush out and get a profile 2 BD player???
