Thanks for the suggestion. I tried
DVDRemake out but it did not work. When I open the video it complains that the process failed.
I also tried
dvd2one which seemed to work, but apparently didn’t. It processed the video just fine without complaint which made me happy, but when I checked the results (which were playable and fine), I realized that they had been compressed (even though they would not need to be if handled correctly). Oh! So close.
I tested Recode, but that does not handle multiple-version videos either.
This is so frustrating. It seems that I am the only person who does this sort of thing. :|
So far,
DVDFab has come the closest, but I do not know how/what software to scan the resulting IFOs with to fix it so that it is standardized (I don’t think that FixVTS is applicable since it is the IFO, not the VOB that is the problem).
