I read from Amazon reviews that most of the problems are it can't playback many new Blu-ray titles (which has more protections implemented by the studios), and not a good player for scratched disc. Firmware updates also didn't help much.
New player from Samsung is BD-P1400, I wonder if there's also issues?

My 1400 seems to work well and the only movie it had issues with was Die Hard, Live free and that was fixed with a FW update. Other than that no issues at all.
