I have Sonic DLA v5.2.0 on two systems. On both, it came bundled/preinstalled. (a HP laptop and a Dell PC)
On both it locks up just by inserting a DVD that it "does not like".
It "burns" 100% CPU and all instances of explorer.exe get locked up, including the desktop/taskbar/startmenu. If I manage to trigger a reboot, it takes ages.
Also the DVD unit is locked, so I can't even remove the DVD. (until after reset)
It's the same crap as the others, IMO.

PS: I just read the README.txt of Sonic DLA 5.2.0. It lists about 20 known issues/bugs/incompatibilities ...
It is a wonder that it works for anyone.
