Ultimately I would like to stream my DVD's from my NAS drive to the PS3 resulting in the same picture quality as the original DVD played on the PS3. My feeling is that is a long way off !
Nope, it is not.....

You have to get the format of the movies correct first but many people have. I'm sorry but I don't have a PS3 to test but have seen many posts from people doing it.

To streamfrom your NAS, you need a uPnP server (Have a look on the TwonkyVision forum) and the latest firmware on your PS3.

The Twonky forum would be a good resource to get started.
