I got my GPU off ebay with the same 3p cooler int he auctioned mentioned earlier in this thread. I'm not overclocking, I'm trying to keep the power usage sane.
I HAD an 8600 GT in my system, the x1900xt works just as well. It is a little louder, even with the 3rd party cooler  Bioshock looks great though  |
I've searched ebay before for a replacement psu and the best I could find was a 300w noname brand so no dice there, but I think I could probably just hack of the connectors and splice them onto a regular psu if it really came down to it
as tempting as it was I didn't bid on the 1900xt, I'm just going to hold off for an 8800gt, and apparently there are some rumors flying around that stanford has been working on a gpu client for the 8-series
