Are we saying here that the bottleneck to ENCODE a file is my harddrive!?  I thought the encoding depended on your processor power.
I have been messing around abit with the DVDFab config (changing bitrates, etc..) and now I managed to encode at a faster rate: 82 frames/sec. (My CPU keeps "swinging" between 15% and 40%. (See attachment) |
I think the point is that it is
one of the possible bottlenecks. The bits have to go somewhere after encoding. I note that you have little free RAM also (according to the screen capture).
