Hello All
I've been having a few problems backing up my DVD collection. I've read through just about every thread and reply relating to my issue but I'm still running into this problem.
Just about every DVD I've tried backing up within the last couple weeks has been taking an exceptional amount of time to read and burn. One of them had taken a total of over three hours to complete the entire read-burn process. I don't remember that ever happening before. I took the advice I had read her already before posting this reply such as clearing the DMA and cleaning the discs. It really doesn't seem to matter if the disc is old or new, dirty or clean...nothing.
I like to create back-up copies of my DVD collection so the originals don't get ruined by children
Here is some information that may help you awesome trouble-shooting types:
DVD Drive Specs: TSST 632D CD/DVD-R/RW; drivers up-to-date
Operating System: Win XP Home
Processor: Pentium 4 Dual Core
Blank Media Used: Sony Accucore DVD-R 120min; 4.7GB
List of Movies Burning Slowly:
1. Cry Baby
2. Alone in the Dark
3. Van Wilder 2: Rise of Taj
4. Prime
*That's just a consolidated list.
Also, is there anyway to know if a DVD is NOT going to burn before going through the entire process? Some DVD's I've tried to burn end up going through everything, even finalizing, only to find out when trying to play it that it didn't burn. I wasted a few blank DVD's.
Okay, I think I've asked enough question this time. I really appreciate ANY assistance in advance. You all rock hardcore!!!
