Stormjumper may be offline for a bit but I think he would tell you that the problem may be the original discs you are trying to copy. They may have a bad spot or deep scratch. Try going to Common Settings-->Read and click the button that says "Ignore All Read Errors" and see if that will speed it up. Be sure to check your backup copy if it works, it may have glitches in the picture from unrecoverable read errors. If windows can't read a disc correctly it slows down the transfer mode, eventually from DMA (fast) to PIO (S L O W), so if you've tried to read the bad discs again you may need to re-do the Reset DMA procedure.
