I think you will like Ubuntu when you can get everything you need to run it. I thought your high end single core would handle it with no slow downs

I need to nose around and see what MP3 and vid players to get for it and start setting it up to use more. I like the VM though but until i actually get to know it better i'll make a dual boot.
