If you have a Nintendo DS you can get a plugin cartridge that takes a MicroSD card and allows you to run a media player on it called Moonlight.
I'd like to convert some of my DVDs to watch on the NDS.
Is there any chance
DVDFab would support the video format? I don't own a copy now, but I'm buy it tomorrow if it had this feature.
DS-DPG posted some useful details:
The basic format is MP2 Audio and MPEG1 video.
The A/V isn't really muxed, it's just has the video data and then the audio is tagged onto the end,
with a simple header describing the file.
A description of the format including header:

including C++-Code for it:

I think this will become a really big market over time - the NDS has outsold the PSP two to one - and you can pick up the cartridge + a 2gb MicroSD card for less that GBP 50.00 - USD 98.00 - that would be a fair few movies.
