Virtually any of them will record 2-ch analog line level inputs and encode that into Dolby Digital 2 ch. Most will be 16-bit, 256 Kb/sec at any speed. Except on the slowest speeds, and this is where they will differ a bit. But most will use that bitrate for the top 3 speeds. (XP, SP, LP).

It's certainly passable audio quality for most purposes.

If you're talking about recording audio CD's, which would be lossless PCM, I don't know of any that do this.
