I use CloneCD all the time to backup files under 4.3 gig or use a DL Disc for files larger. It has never failed me yet. I would try backing up your reg key. Then uninstalling and reinstalling the program. You should not be having any problems like you discribed.

I would also try uninstalling Alcohol, I have seen compatibility problems like this before.
