Try the new v3.1.1.2, some of the fixes may be what you need.
Post the results when you can. Can't believe Yamb choked on the file. Wow.

One thing i have noticed is although the file size is over 2Gb, it is smaller than it should be... In previous versions of DVDFab, the file was always 2.3Gb after encoding, but in v3.1.1.0 Beta its only 2.1Gb, despite DVDFab predicting the output should be around the 2.3Gb mark...
Not sure if this helps, but the error has only appeared since the xvid+mp3 encoding was speeded up in this version...
