I think this second issue is a bug with the program. It happens when "Use CSS key archive" is enabled. Sometimes movies are not decrypted properly, when I load the DVD again. I fixed this problem by turning off CSS key archive. Maybe the first problem was also related to that. I've never had a problem before and don't think these DVDs have any special protection.
