Re: Folding@Home

Project 2609

Using E6300 2M Cache 450x7= 3.15Ghz ~18:30 mins per frame
Code:
[10:12:17] Completed 195000 out of 500000 steps (39 percent)
[10:27:17] Timered checkpoint triggered
[10:30:51] Writing local files
[10:30:51] Completed 200000 out of 500000 steps (40 percent)
same project, paused to change CPU...

E6600 4M Cache 400x9= 3.6Ghz ~ 11:30 mins per frame
Code:
[20:10:49] Completed 300000 out of 500000 steps (60 percent)
[20:22:22] Writing local files
[20:22:22] Completed 305000 out of 500000 steps (61 percent)
So basically a 14% increase of CPU speed and additional 2MB cache can increase folding speed about 40%... nice!
