Looks to me like your MPEG 2 authoring test took WAY too long. Was there some reason why this MPEG file had to be re-encoded? This is a HUGE drawback to TMPGEnc-Author v2 and v3, in that they sometimes re-encode MPEG that does not need to be re-encoded. Sometimes even DVD-video will get re-encoded needlessly. This would be a very compelling reason NOT to buy version 3.
