Not exactly sure how to uninstall optical drives? Do I go to Device Manager & uninstall driver for all 3 Primary IDE Channel and all 3 Secondary IDE Channel? I already ran the resetdma.vbs file linked to Maineman's sig, but I don't see any changes. All have the following settings for Device 0 & Device 1: Auto Detection / DMA if available / Not applicable

EXCEPT

the first Primary IDE Channel: (Device 0) Auto Detection (grayed out-unable to change) / DMA if available / Ultra DMA Mode 5 (Device 1) Auto Detection / DMA if available / Not applicable

the third Secondary IDE Channel: (Device 0) Auto Detection (grayed out-unable to change) / DMA if available / PIO Mode (Device 1) Auto Detection (grayed out-unable to change) / DMA if available / Ultra DMA Mode 2

I appreciate all of the help.....let me know if I'm right about how to uninstall optical drives....will I have to re-run resetdma.vbs file linked to Maineman's sig after uninstalling optical drives? I have to go now....will continue this adventure tomorrow Good night
