I tend to archive software installers and every so often I delete a number of releases of software X from my archive. If I have a problem I can always revert back to an older version but Slysoft tends to fix problems so rapidly that it's not as bad as some other programs can be.
One reason Slysoft may not keep older versions available for download is because of support. I don't work for them so I may be wrong here but it seems pretty logical that while people may ask for support for an older version and are deserving of it but the suggestion to update to the latest version should always rank right at the beginning of a support request, IMO. Now, if they had available multiple versions on their website then they have to actively support all these versions at the same time. IMO it's way more work than it's worth. Keep one version for download on their site and focus on the issues of that version. Hopefully any problems a person still running an old version of
AnyDVD has will have been fixed in a newer release.
Lastly, I tend to wonder sometimes when I see people using really old versions or asking for older ones because in most cases I've personally known about... let's just say the person hadn't paid for the program which is why they don't want a newer release. That irritates me. Now, I'm not saying all people using older versions or wanting older versions are doing anything wrong but some are.
Just food for thought.
