In fact DVDFab works fine with this drive (recognizing it, reading DVDs and extracting from DVDs) as long as I don't try to burn. The media I am trying to burn to are Memorex DVD+R DL 2.4x 8.5 gb discs. DVDFab labels the media on the menu screen as "16:0:0 - Memorex DVD+RAM 510L v1 MWS7 (Usb)." Thanks in advance. |
Thanks for the complete and informative post. Sorry you're having trouble. Please post a couple of items from the burn log, which can be found at C:\Documents and Settings\..
username...\My Documents\DVDFab\Log\DVDFab_burn_VSO.log. This is a text file that you can open with Notepad and copy and paste a few recent entries into a reply post. Some users have had problems with DVD-RAM drives, others use them daily. If you have Nero installed, you can temporarily select it for DVDFab to use for burning using the drop down box in Common Settings-->Write near the top of the window. You might also want to try changing the default I/O Mode from Auto to SPTI in Common Settings--> Read. Try some of this and post back if anything worked (or didn't)
