You are transcoding if you're compressing using
Nero Recode.

You can't get a 1:1 rip using Nero Recode, since Recode will not preserve the original layer break position.

Nero Recode from Nero 6.x versions has a known issue when there is more than one drive in a system: you must import the disc using the burner. Nero Recode from Nero 7.x versions doesn't have this problem.
