Generally Microsoft programs don't come with any copy protection. This is certainly true of Windows 95 -> XP.

Try just doing a stright copy with CloneCD or Nero. That normally works fine.

You should also still use a CD. A CD can only contain upto ~800mb of data on it. It maybe more once unpacked but if it came on a CD then the copy will fit onto a CD.

To make sure try scanning the disk with ProtectionID 5 to see what comes up.
