Anydvd has nothing to do with backing up securerom protected games (or copyprotected games in general). And
Clonecd has rarely been useful for later Securerom protected games, because Clonecd does not offer DPM measurement (or an alternative).
I'm not even sure if a twin peaks backup method would work for you using clonecd.
I do know that if all you want to do is run the game without the original cd in your drive, GameJackal will work (this program does not burn though)--as will Alcohol 120% and probably Daemon Tools.
GameJackal tends to work reasonably well for Securerom and Safedisc protections (but not much else) and also has the added benefit of using smaller image or profiles than competing virtual drive products.
Clonecd is very useful for backing up movies with
Anydvd, provided you're using Verbatim +R DL discs (this is a better solution than using the same blank media with
Clonedvd2, if you wish to retain the original layer break).
