While I am *very* pleased that Tom is taking the time to do this for legitimate Slysoft customers, keep in mind Microsoft, Symantec, and other companies do this as standard practice (they invalidate stolen keys and issue new ones so legitimate customers continue to have working copies).
I agree, though, that these other large companies probably do not go to great lengths to investigate what happened.
