Simon, we're poking in the dark with this issue.
I have a PSP v2.71 here for testing and tell you what: I've never seen A/V go out of sync in any test. Not once. NTSC, PAL, all variants tested.
Only with FW versions before 2.6, when PSP couldn't handle some framerates, but that's dealt with through the different profiles in
CloneDVD mobile.
So all we can do, is turn a little knob here and there that might be related to this effect and see if it helps.
We do get complaints about A/V-sync but they are extremly rare by now, so at least it seems to be improving...
