wow, and I thought my school was bad! we have full access to C: but they have some insane logoff scripts that delete EVERY file you saved/installed etc. and revert all settings to defaults. a friend of mine did find a work around though, they dont empty the recycle bins...so if there is a file you want to keep, you have to delete it

a pen drive should work with the text console, but I'm not positive
