The Sonys have a sharp picture quality to be sure but they are also among the most expensive. I was comparing a couple of 32" LCD monitors the other day, one from Sony and the other from Samsung. The Sony was a hair better for picture quality but it was also about $200-$300 more. Not worth it for that small of a difference IMHO.
