| Re: Dog the Bounty Hunter Being Charged in Mexico I just saw the A&E special, and Mexico in general is trying to pull a fast one on Dog!
Really, the U.S. should stand up to Mexico and tell them Dog will not be extradited--period--and case closed! The U.S. should also tell Mexico that "this will continue happening until you lift your ban on not extraditing U.S. criminals that flee to Mexico to avoid U.S. prosecution." It is this very Mexican gov't policy that is at the heart of this problem, and if people think some U.S. prisons are bad, Mexico's are far worse (if you don't have an idea, watch the movie "All the Pretty Horses" to get a fairly good idea). Had Mexico "cowboyed up" and extradited Luster as it should have, this would not be happening. Just to clarify: I don't make this statement because of any particular loyalty or liking to "Dog," but I speak of this based solely on the principle of the matter and the existing legal situation Mexico created in the first place. |
