Have movie producers decided on which format they will pick for their movie titles blue ray or hd. How long will movie companies continue to make the standard dvd for their movie titles. I hope at least for the next 10 years.

As far as I am concerned there should no blue ray or hd. They should both fail. I am happy with the standard dvd movie and why should I have to buy new dvd players. It is bad enough that I have to replace some of by tvs/vcr/dvd recorders by 2/17/09 as probably my cable company will changing to all digital signal.

So what will movies companies do and do we really need this blue ray/hd aggrevation and this all digital signal 2/17/09 law.
