norton ghost creates a proprietary image. that means ghost explorer can open it and the ghost program can restore the full image if necessary.
that's why ghost tells you to create a boot disc before proceeding. you can probably also restore it within the windows environment through the ghost program itself.
also, it's not a good idea to ever post your email in a forum unless you enjoy spam. if a user needs to contact you personally they can send you a private message through the forum. This doesn't happen on technical problems as all suggestions and solutions should be kept on the forum in order help people who may find this thread via a search.
