there's nothing wrong with memorex itself...it's just that they're cheap bastards.

they buy from whichever manufacturer is cheapest...and it's often not good discs.

verbatim discs are reliable...they use the same media ID 99% of the time.

with memorex, you've got about a 1 in 6 or 7 chance of knowing what's inside the package when you buy it...and about 6 out of the 7 choices aren't that great.

i started out with memorex dvds as well...and my very first spindle of 50 resulted in 50 coasters within 3-4 weeks. then i found this site...so you're not alone
