I understand how to use Alcohol for copying discs & images.

However, I am more interested in creating my own disc images from files & folders on my HDD (functionally identical or similar to MagicISO Maker).

As far as I understand it, that is not possible. Is this correct? If it is, do enlighten me.

If is not, is there anything that extends Alcohol 120%, even command-line utilities?

Nero, Roxio & the like left me with a bad taste, so I am firmly against considering anything of the sort.
