as far as i understand this stuff and read in other guides, the Adobe premiere is a tool that uses the main concept codec do encode to MPEG-2, so main concept is just a codec... like DivX or Xvid, the TMPGenc is a tool that can use the main concept also??? and so is CCE... so what is the difference what software should i use if my codec is one and only one - the main concept ...

P.S. i am shure i didn't get something right, so pls explain
