Congrats on bumping a year old thread. As for 8x value line, I wouldn't trust it as they can be 4x, 8x or 16x. Most of the 4x media seems to have cycled out but there are still probably a few batches of them floating around. I would rather have them list 4x media and end up with 8x or 16x than have them list it as 8x and end up with 4x. It is value line as it is of a slightly lower quality standard (not to mention there is no gaurantee for what speed you get from batch to batch). It's also a way for them to get rid of excess inventory in a hurry.
