Rip protected Audio CD

Hi,

This is a newbie question, but the sticky thread in the Audio CD section does not exactly explain my situation to me...I think.

I have a new Sony CD (I know, I know) with, I believe, a new copy protection scheme. The CD has on the case "does not conform to CD specifications and therefore will not play on some CD and DVD players."

The CD will not even mount on my computer. If I right click on the drive and click open, windows tells me, "windows cannot read from this disk, the disk might be corrupted, or it could be using a format that is not compatable with windows"

I am assuming this is a TOC type of thing. To be honest, I would rather not use the "marker" or "tape" trick because I don't really know how to do it, or if this CD would even work with it. Being that this CD only came out a month ago, it may have some new scheme, but I'm not sure.

I only want to rip the songs so I can put them on my mp3 player.

The CD is: Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, "The Hidden Land"
My player is a TS-L462A Samsung in my Toshiba Tecra A4 notebook.

Thanks in advance!
