Re: Make backup of DVD navigation disc

Ken830,

I am in the same boat as you are. I was trying to back up my 06 Acura TL NAV DVD disk (Nav Tech disc) and so far unsuccessful. However my car didn't eject the DVD right away, it just said that there is an error reading the disc or incompatible disc. I also have exact hardware, software and media you have listed.

NEC - ND-3540 Burner, FW 1.W5
DVD Decrypter to read and write ISO
Verbatim DVD+R DL 2.4X, set booktype to DVD-ROM

My DVD decrypter gave exact the same DVD info (backup DVD) as yours.

I have done a lot of DVD movie backup and I knew the Media and burner are the most important ingredient to a working copy of DVD. In this case, the media should not be an issue, based on my research, Verbatim DVD+R DL is one of the best media out there. I am also leaning toward the DVD burner, might have to spend another $50 for a new BenQ 1655.

Please let me know if you figure it out. I will keep looking for a solution and will post a result if I can successfully make a functional backup.

Thx, Fast330ci
