Hi Guys,

I'm looking at doing a system upgrade to a Celeron D 2.93ghz, 1 gig ram, a motherboard based on the Via P4M800 chipset, Win XP Pro SP2, a Western Digital 80 gig ide hd with 8mb buffer, and my old BenQ 1620 burner.

Is anyone else running a similar system? If so is the chipset happy with the 1620? (are the CD Speed scans good and can you burn at 16x?).

Just wondering if the Via chipset that comes in most of the value systems is up to the taks or if I should pry the wallet open a little further and go for a different chipset.
