It's no secret that Plextor rebadges drives. A lot of manufacturers do this. Plextor markets the rebadged drives as mainstream drives while the "real" Plextor drives are aimed more as advanced/professional drives as they support a lot more advanced features. For me personally; I have used the PX-504A, PX-712A, PX-716A and the PX-716UF and from these I use the PX-716UF and PX-712A almost daily without a single problem. I got these drives as review samples.
