I use my liteon for reading cd's. For some reason I can't get eac 9.5 to read my 1640 correctly. I have not checked into the matter so I don't know if I am the only one who has this problem. Since I have other cd/dvd readers I have not spent the time to fix the problem.

One of the problems is eac says my 1640 does not report c2 errors and I am pretty sure that is not right.

Have you tried to configure the drive options for the 1640? If so, what does it tell you about c2 errors and cache and Accurate stream feature.
