What processor are you running in your machine, just to give us an idea what AMD chipset you are working with? I used to have an ASUS P5A-B with an AMD chipset which gave me problems burning using the AMD drivers, which in that case was under Windows 98. This was a socket 7 chipset, which I believe was called an Alladin V.
